Company Overview:

We are partnering with a Y Combinator/Sequoia backed global people tech and services company to identify a Director of Paid Marketing. Our client's platform provides expertly vetted, and highly qualified virtual assistants across a variety of functions. They integrate seamlessly across the entire tech stack as well!


  • Lead and manage the paid acquisition and in-house creative teams to develop and launch innovative campaigns across paid search, paid social, affiliate, and new experimental channels to communicate creative successes and failures and refine asset roadmapping
  • Reporting to the CEO, this person will develop a strategy, implement robust targeting, testing, and tracking capabilities, and build/lead/coach a team that can meet the demands of a rapidly growing business.
  • Execute the growth strategy and work with an 8-figure annual marketing budget so Magic can continue scaling their customer base and drive lifetime value.
  • Measure and report on all key paid media metrics including return-on-ad-spend (ROAS), customer acquisition cost (CAC), CAC Payback, Conversion Rate and more.
  • Own end-to-end brand advertising (ToFU) and direct response acquisition strategy
  • Manage and develop ad campaigns across various online and offline channels, optimize spend, drive key acquisition metrics and profitable growth
  • Lead experimentation to gain valuable customer insights, analyze results and implement new findings
  • Monitor and administer web analytics dashboards, reports, and key reporting tools, and point out any key areas of importance in accordance with company goals to increase understanding of ROI and campaign performance
  • Align with multiple global teams including but not limited to Growth, Product, Marketing and Sales
  • Present key learnings to senior leadership team and influence decision-making at a company level
  • Hire, lead, and manage a team of performance marketers


  • Proven track record of building brand advertising and user acquisition functions from scratch in a fast paced environment with at least a $10M + annual budget.
  • Proven success working with numbers and presenting/influencing through accurate data to the Senior Leadership team. 
  • Demonstrated experience in scaling marketing spend and driving profitable growth
  • 7+ years experience in top-of-funnel and direct response acquisition, primarily in B2B SaaS
  • 2+ years of proven people management experience including building, growing, and managing teams of paid media digital marketer direct reports and agency partners
  • Deep knowledge of key measurement tools (MTA, MMM) and strong analytical skills. 
  • Passionate about solving problems in a huge market ($2T market size)
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills and thirst for global collaboration
  • Strong advertising intuition, understand consumer psychology, and enjoy brainstorming new ideas for reaching customers more effectively
  • Results-focused and able to prioritize competing priorities based on expected impact
