Role Overview

Our client is seeking a Director of Events to spearhead their events program, taking ownership from conception through execution. This leadership role will involve strategic planning and logistical management to ensure each event contributes to their business objectives, while embodying the brand in every presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Event Leadership: Develop and manage a comprehensive events strategy, pinpointing high-value opportunities ranging from executive dinners to large conferences.
  • End-to-End Event Execution: Research opportunities, negotiate contracts, coordinate logistics, and oversee all aspects of event execution.
  • Speaking & Thought Leadership: Represent the brand as a speaker at industry events, enhancing brand visibility through compelling presentations.
  • Event Promotion & Revenue Generation: Design and implement promotional strategies across various channels to maximize attendance and lead conversions.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and motivate brand ambassadors and event teams to create exceptional experiences.
  • On-Site Excellence: Manage all aspects of on-site experiences from preparation to execution, ensuring impactful conversations and demo bookings.
  • Performance Optimization: Collaborate with sales and marketing to analyze event outcomes, refine strategies, and maximize pipeline impact.

  • 5-7 years of experience in field marketing, events, or experiential marketing, particularly within the B2B SaaS or high-growth technology sectors.
  • A proven track record of leading complex, multi-stakeholder events that yield measurable results.
  • Strong presentation skills with experience in public speaking to confidently represent the brand.
  • Effective cross-functional collaborator with experience working alongside sales, marketing, and executive teams.
  • A blend of strategic vision and hands-on execution capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an aptitude for managing multiple events concurrently.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work unconventional hours around events.
  • An evident passion for events and a belief in their role as essential business drivers.
