Role Overview

Our client is seeking a VP of Customer Success who will be a pivotal leader in driving the strategic vision and execution of customer success initiatives. This role requires the ability to develop and implement a comprehensive customer success strategy aimed at ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performing customer success team, including recruitment, training, and continuous coaching.
  • Create a motivated and inspiring work environment that promotes collaboration and individual growth.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive customer satisfaction and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Effectively address and resolve customer issues, ensuring they achieve maximum value from the company's offerings.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure customer retention and manage group targets.
  • Conduct research, analyze data, and make data-informed decisions to enhance customer success practices.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of Sales or Customer Success experience, including 5+ years in leadership.
  • Direct experience managing and supporting Customer Success Managers.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of CRM best practices, including QBRs, retention strategies, and upselling.
  • Advanced knowledge of customer success and sales enablement tools.
  • Proven ability to exceed customer success metrics and targets consistently.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and effectively lead teams.
  • Willingness to travel to various local and national events.
  • A driven self-starter with excellent communication skills.
  • A true player-coach who fosters team success.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a venture-backed start-up environment.
  • Deep familiarity with state and local government sales.
