Role Overview
They’re hiring a Head of Special Projects to sit within the Founder’s Office and act as the construction industry voice across the organization. This is a senior, high-impact role for someone who deeply understands how preconstruction actually works and wants to shape how technology modernizes the industry.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team on construction industry dynamics, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Define and evolve the company’s industry narrative around AI, estimating workflows, risk mitigation, and productivity.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and Estimating Operations.
- Support enterprise pursuits as a preconstruction Subject Matter Expert, helping win and expand strategic accounts.
- Refine Ideal Customer Profile, deal strategy, proof of value motions, and onboarding frameworks.
- Engage directly with customers through executive calls, advisory councils, site visits, and industry events.
- Drive alignment, ownership, and execution across initiatives that impact revenue and customer outcomes.
Requirements
- 10 to 15+ years in the construction industry, ideally with deep exposure to preconstruction and estimating.
- Experience working with General Contractors, large subcontractors, owners, consultants, or construction technology companies.
- Strong industry network across contractors, owners, associations, and partners.
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in ambiguous environments.
- Sharp business judgment and strong execution instincts.
- Genuine interest in construction tech and industry transformation.
