Role Overview
We are seeking a driven and experienced Account Executive to join our client's team. In this pivotal role, you will own the full enterprise sales cycle and help shape the go-to-market strategy for a highly technical product aimed at sophisticated buyers. You will work closely with the CEO and founding team to define the sales playbook and pricing strategy.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire sales process: outbound prospecting, discovery, negotiation, and closing for mid-market and enterprise accounts.
- Become a domain expert on patent workflows and effectively demo the platform to key stakeholders.
- Build trust with potential customers by addressing objections and demonstrating the value of automation and AI.
- Create a comprehensive sales playbook, including messaging, qualification frameworks, and deal reviews.
- Maintain pipeline hygiene and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product insights and influence the roadmap.
- Ensure smooth transitions to Customer Success and engage with clients during the initial value realization period.
- Represent the company at industry events and targeted marketing initiatives.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in closing new business in B2B SaaS, particularly with complex and consultative deals.
- Demonstrated success in achieving substantial new business quotas.
- Strong skills in discovery, value mapping, and building relationships with executive champions.
- Technical curiosity and comfort with AI/analytics products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, embracing ambiguity and contributing to the sales process documentation.
- High integrity in forecasting and pipeline management.
- Experience in legal/IP, R&D, life sciences, or data/AI platforms is a plus (not required).
- Willingness to work in-person in NYC and travel for customer meetings and conferences.
