This client is looking to revolutionize production AI infrastructure and is on the lookout for a dedicated technical pre-sales professional to help shape their growth and success.
Role Overview
As the first dedicated pre-sales technical hire, you will work closely with sales leadership to support complex enterprise deals and assist organizations in successfully deploying AI in production. Your primary responsibilities will span sales, engineering, and product domains, playing a vital role in defining how the company wins technical evaluations and converts pilots into long-term enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical side of enterprise deals, partnering with Account Executives to drive technical discovery and solution alignment.
- Engage directly with AI engineers, ML platform teams, and architects while serving as the technical authority during evaluations and competitive bake-offs.
- Design and run Proof of Concepts (POCs), guiding customers through integrations and troubleshooting technical blockers.
- Win competitive technical evaluations against key platforms, demonstrating the company's advantages in reliability and scalability.
- Build the early pre-sales playbook, creating assets such as demo frameworks and POC templates while establishing best practices for technical discovery.
- Collaborate across the organization to provide structured product feedback and shape pre-sales processes as the company grows.
Requirements
- 4–8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or technical pre-sales.
- Experience supporting enterprise SaaS or infrastructure sales.
- Proven ability to manage technical evaluations, pilots, or POCs effectively.
- Comfortable operating in early-stage startup environments.
- Strong understanding and ability to engage with technical stakeholders in areas like APIs, AI/ML infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts for technical audiences.
