Role Overview
Our client is looking for a Sales Team Manager to oversee a team of Account Executives (AEs) and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs). This hybrid role located in St. Petersburg, Florida, involves coaching and tracking team performance while aligning sales strategies with the company's goals. Your leadership will be pivotal in scaling the company's SMB customer base and enhancing the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Develop the Team: Recruit, onboard, coach, and mentor AEs and SDRs to improve performance and career growth.
- Drive Sales Performance: Set and monitor KPIs, ensure the team meets or exceeds quotas, and drive accountability.
- Optimize Sales Processes: Improve workflows and lead qualification while ensuring efficient handoff between SDRs and AEs.
- Pipeline & Forecasting: Track pipeline health, ensure accurate forecasting, and implement strategies to optimize conversion rates.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams across different time zones to align sales efforts with business objectives.
- Enhance Sales Strategies: Identify growth opportunities, improve sales tactics, and refine messaging aimed at SMB prospects.
- Leverage Data & Tools: Utilize CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong) to track performance and drive sales execution.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of SaaS sales experience, including leadership/management experience of AEs and SDRs.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in an SMB-focused environment.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a passion for team development.
- Data-driven mindset with experience in pipeline management and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies like MEDDIC, Challenger Sales, or SPIN is a plus.
- Experience with CRM and sales automation tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, etc.).
