Role Overview

The Sales Engineer position is a remarkable opportunity to join the Solutions team as one of its founding members. This role is critical for ensuring the success of prospects through technical engagements that clearly demonstrate the business value of the company's products. You will work closely with the founders, sales, and customer success teams, contributing to the growth and adoption of innovative technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert and advocate for the company's product.
  • Act as the resident technical sales expert and mentor for Go-To-Market teams.
  • Lead and execute engagements for potential new customers, including Proof-of-Value engagements and technical workshops.
  • Create and deliver enterprise-level technical materials to support sales initiatives.
  • Provide field feedback and advocate for prospects within internal teams.
  • Maintain clear documentation and processes for effective collaboration.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and industry conferences may be required.
  • Contribute to shaping best practices and company culture during growth.

Requirements

  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Entry level experience in coding with Python (preferred).
  • 5+ years in technical pre-sales and/or post-sales, preferably in enterprise B2B SaaS.
  • Experience in scoping and delivering technical solutions, particularly with analytics and/or AI products.
  • Skilled in creating materials and tools to support technical sales, such as demos and presentations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience identifying and addressing customer business needs through existing products.
  • Ability to mentor others in technical sales, including solutions engineers and account executives.
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus.
  • Experience in technical sales of ML/AI products is a plus.

Benefits

This is a hybrid position based in San Jose, California, with an estimated On Target Earnings (OTE) ranging from $186,250 to $232,500. The total compensation package includes:
