Role Overview
We are seeking a Transaction Advisor to join our client's team. In this consultative sales role, you will be the primary contact for small business owners looking to exit their businesses. Your role will involve educating clients on the M&A process, helping them articulate their goals, and guiding them through this significant transition.
Responsibilities
- Lead client meetings to educate prospective clients on the M&A process, timelines, and the brokerage's unique service model while qualifying businesses as strong M&A candidates.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to generate customized reports and insights for clients.
- Build trust with founders, guiding them through a complex and emotional transition with empathy and confidence.
- Engage directly with business owners and key stakeholders to gather essential financial and operational information.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from onboarding to transaction execution.
- Assist in developing and maintaining strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including lenders and legal advisors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with a record of academic and professional achievement.
- At least three years of experience, with a minimum of two years in client-facing roles within financial services, business consulting, insurance, real estate, private wealth, or related sectors.
- Comfort with explaining financial topics to clients and discussing business performance across various verticals.
- Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust with non-technical clients.
- Demonstrated capability to close complex, service-based engagements.
- A highly organized, proactive, and self-directed working style.
Benefits
The expected annual base salary for this position ranges from $130,000 to $150,000, plus additional compensation in the form of earned commissions.
